The Permanent Update, Training and Communication Project of the IIP aims to be a link between the academic work of the Institute of Psychological Research and the academic and national community, in order to provide training to people from different unions and social groups and to communicate the work carried out by the Institute. Likewise, it promotes the updating of the IIP's scientific staff and various segments of society, organizing activities that promote the exchange of knowledge and wisdom, whether proposed by the project itself or by the Institute's academic staff. In this sense, ED-507 is a management project that seeks to develop the human, structural and relational capital of the Institute of Psychological Research, promoting processes of updating, communication, training and transfer of knowledge, by strengthening the link between the teaching, research and social action. Among its main lines of action are: promoting a culture of dialogue and exchange of knowledge, managing updating processes, education and training in the use of social research methodologies, promoting exchange between national and international researchers (between themselves and with specific social groups or segments) and promote accountability to Costa Rican society for the academic-research work carried out by the IIP.

El Proyecto Permanente de Actualización, Capacitación y Comunicación del IIP pretende ser un enlace entre el quehacer académico del Instituto de Investigaciones Psicológicas y la comunidad académica y nacional, con el fin de brindar capacitación a personas de diferentes gremios y grupos sociales y de comunicar el trabajo realizado por el Instituto. Asimismo, promueve la actualización del personal científico del IIP y de diversos segmentos de la sociedad, organizando actividades que propicien el intercambio de conocimientos y saberes, ya sea propuestas por el mismo proyecto o por el personal académico del Instituto. En este sentido, el ED-507 es un proyecto de gestión que busca desarrollar el capital humano, estructural y relacional del Instituto de Investigaciones Psicológicas, propiciando procesos de actualización, comunicación, capacitación y transferencia de conocimiento, por medio del fortalecimiento del vínculo entre la docencia, la investigación y la acción social. Entre sus líneas de acción principales, se encuentran: fomentar una cultura de diálogo e intercambio de saberes, gestionar procesos de actualización, educación y capacitación en el uso de metodologías de investigación social, promover el intercambio entre investigadores(as) nacionales e internacionales (entre sí mismos/as y con grupos o segmentos sociales específicos) y propiciar la rendición de cuentas a la sociedad costarricense del trabajo académico-investigativo realizado por el IIP.
